Feast Day Celebration & CMG Annual Conference/Lecture – June 2021

The Patron feast day celebration by the CMG,is usually characterized by a number of activities.

These include:

(a) Members’ celebration of Mass with the children on a Sunday during the period;

(b) A one day retreat for members of the Guild,usually moderated by a chosen Priest;

(c) Feast of bread and honey by members, to reenact the life style of St.John the Baptist,who ate locusts and wild honey in the wilderness.

(d) The climax is the induction of very carefully selected new members, followed by a lecture and a luncheon.

This year,we dealth with the theme: The Role of The Church in Modern Nigeria –COVID -19, Security and Et al Challenges.
The above stated conference/seminar was organized to commemorate the birth of St John the Baptist, the Patron Saint of the CMG.
